just got home a bit ago from Elliott's second show here in seattle, it's weird when a concert ends by 9:30, but that's cool i guess. it was one helluva show, i didn't see last night's show (you know you've become a loser when you prefer all ages shows to 21 and over (i.e. everyone is drunk) shows; but tonight he didn't play a whole lot of new stuff, which i'm guessing might be because he played it all last night? can anyone confirm/deny that? the set was great, and he ended with a new cover (joined by the minders on stage) but i don't know what song it is and it's driving me crazy...anyone get a set list or know the song? it had the line "i'm so glad you're coming home soon" or something like that...and a really catchy chorus. but it wasn't the beatles, that much i'm sure of (the minders played a great version of "dig a pony" though -- with elliott on drums) i can't remember the exact order of songs, but this was about all that was played:

okay, i guess he did play a lot of new stuff, just not what you'd expect (no
"happiness", "easy way out", "junk bond trader", "wouldn't mama be proud").
still it was a GREAT show, they sound very tight and the harmonies seem
almost dead on now, which is unlike the last time i saw him perform with
full band. and joanna and him smiled at each other all during the minders
last few songs (him playing drums, her bass) and it made the songs that much
better. cheezy, but true.

This was an all ages show, but almost a more enjoyable experience, since I
was able to sit out the opening set in the closed off 21+ section, then
moving up close to watch Sam and Elliott. Elliott wore the same t shirt both
nights. The crowd was far more sedate during the songs, almost in awe.
I loved hearing Amity and Alameda back to back, two of my all time faves.
The band covered the Zombies song "Care of Cell 44" again. 10/10
